EcoTere develops proprietary software for analysis and decision support delivered to distribution system operators and industrial players.

Based on AI and machine learning, we predict future energy demand, map available capacity, and identify alternative solutions for capacity improvements in the power grid.

EcoTere works closely with network companies, industry, and R&D environments with the common goal of ensuring faster, low risk and cost-effective connection of new demand for grid connection.

EcoTere is growing and is now looking for business developers who can take responsibility for commercial growth, product development and professional delivery in customer projects.

The Role

The role combines sales, analysis, and consulting – perfect for those who enjoy working at the intersection of technology, energy, and business. You will also have a central role in our product development processes. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Selling analysis services and pilots based on EcoTere’s application platform.

  • Conducting analyses – validating data, running scenarios, and interpreting results.

  • Preparing final reports and presenting recommendations to customers and decision-makers.

  • Contributing customer needs and functional requirements to EcoTere’s product and development teams.

Key Tasks

  • Identify and develop new customer projects within networks, flexibility, and energy storage.

  • Collect and quality-assure data from customers and partners.
    Perform analyses and simulations using EcoTere’s software tools. This includes consumption forecasting, dynamic load flow analysis, identification of solutions, financial groundwork for investment decisions, as well as technical documentation for procurement.

  • Prepare professional deliverables: reports, decision support materials, and presentations.

  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, partners, and R&D environments.

  • Collaborate closely with the development team to translate customer insights into product improvements.

Qualifications

  • Higher education in energy, technology, industrial economics, or equivalent.

  • Experience from grid companies, the energy sector, consulting, or technology sales. Competence in grid analysis, flexibility, batteries, market design, or energy economics.

  • Familiarity with optimization methods, AI, and machine learning. Proficiency in data tools such as Excel and Python.

  • Ability to understand and explain technical and economic relationships.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral, in Norwegian and English.
